This gun is cased with a brass tag on top that says: " GENERAL CURTIS LEMAY / FROM THE COLT'S PT. FA. MFG. CO. " This gun was an attempt by Colt in the 1970's to get the replacement gun for the model 1911 . The gun is in stainless steel with wood grips and is in 9 mm and 45 caliber's. There were between 30 and 50 of these guns manufactured. This gun was the only one made in interchangeable caliber's . This gun was given to LeMay for his help to Colt in obtaining the new gun contract . |
