Serial numbers were picked at random and large blocks were skipped so serial numbers will be found as high as 849,110. Total guns produced is from 1890 to 1941 is 764,215
Serial number 1 thru 64,520 fall in the pre January 1 1899 serial number range and are considered antique .
These were manufactured in the following Calibers --22 Short ,22 Long Rifle, 22 Short ,Long and Long rifle and 22 WRF .
There were 16,746 Solid frame guns built from 1890 to 1893 .

There were a few 1890's manufactured with barrels marked STAINLESS after 1925 to 1927 .
A gallery gun with a stainless barrel and nickel trim was recently located . Probably by far the rarest 1890 known .
There were a low number of Deluxe guns manufactured with pistol grips stocks that were checkered with extra high gloss finish .
There are no known smooth bore deluxe guns known .
There are a few short barrel 1890 manufactured , number unknown but quite rare .
